About
Jonathan C Chou is a Taiwanese diasporic poet, psychiatrist, and educator. He is the author of Resemblance/與, winner of the 2023 Saturnalia Books Alma Book Award. His creative and scholarly writing has appeared or is forthcoming in Asymptote, Synapsis: A Health Humanities Journal, The Healing Muse, Psychoanalytic Inquiry, and the Journal of Medical Humanities. In 2025, he was selected by the National Museum of Taiwan Literature to be a writer-in-residence at the Taiwan Literature Base. He teaches at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. He grew up in Taipei and lives in Philadelphia.
